The Role
Theyre looking for a dedicated and detail-orientated Dispenser to support their busy dispensary in Chester. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of their pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medication and offering exceptional patient care under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense, label, and supply medicines accurately, following SOPs and regulations
Support safe handling and documentation of controlled drugs
Maintain up-to-date, secure patient medication records (PMR)
Prepare Monitored Dosage Systems (MDS) for patients with complex regimes
Provide clear and supportive advice on medicines and minor ailments
Assist with stock management, ordering, and storage of medicines
Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control
Report and help address errors and near misses to promote learning
Engage in CPD activities to stay professionally up-to-date
Promote a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement

The Ideal Candidate:
Youll be a compassionate and detail-driven individual with a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork. Youll thrive in a fast-paced environment and be eager to grow your knowledge in pharmacy services.
NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (or working towards)
High attention to detail and methodical working style
Empathetic and professional communication skills
Respect for patient confidentiality and GDPR
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
Good IT skills and adaptability to digital systems
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services
Previous pharmacy experience in community, hospital, or homecare settings
Familiarity with PMR systems (e.g., ProScript)
Involvement in health promotion or public health campaigns
Experience with innovative pharmacy services or digital models
Multilingual abilities
