We are working with a well-established Tier 2 main contractor delivering world-class projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial aspects of a high-value project comprising 200 retirement homes (£80m), with responsibilities split between office and site.
This Senior Quantity Surveyor role would suit someone experienced in residential developments, with strong commercial management, cost control, and contract administration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing all commercial aspects of the project across office and site
Preparing and reviewing cost reports, budgets, and forecasts
Managing subcontractor procurement and variations
Conducting risk and value engineering assessments
Supporting project management team with cost planning and commercial advice
Ensuring compliance with contract requirements and company policies
Acting as main point of contact for commercial matters on the project
Experience & Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale residential projects
Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual procedures
Experience with cost management, procurement, and contract administration
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work effectively across office and site environments
Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying; RICS qualification preferred
