The Plant Manager will be responsible for the manufacturing, painting, and/or assembly of components for vehicles, turning them into finished goods within a business unit or from specific production line(s). This role includes people management, budgetary, and cost reporting.
You will lead the operations function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards. Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met. The role involves developing a motivated and flexible team by building strong working relationships, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements. You will manage the team on best practices, establish policies and procedures, mentor, and lead teams. Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives and modern manufacturing principles by identifying deficiencies and recommending changes in training, practices, and processes.
You will contribute to creating and implementing best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance.

* Managing production efficiently to meet daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, maintaining quality and delivery standards, minimizing costs, and ensuring best working practices
* Overseeing plant production, financial performance, and maintaining productive operations
* Achieving target productivity levels daily
* Updating the production plan daily
* Communicating with other departmental managers to ensure production targets are met
* Driving process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through data analysis
* Undertaking continuous training and development, supporting accreditations such as IATF16969 and ISO 14001
* Performing root cause analysis and resolving problems
* Identifying and deploying technical skill sets, resources, and systems to deliver projects, including engaging external resources as needed
Qualifications...
* A relevant degree is desirable
* At least 5 years of manufacturing experience in the automotive industry
* Excellent IT skills and data analysis capabilities
* Self-motivated
* Excellent communication skills
