The opportunity
Dr Somji Skincare is a premium clinical skincare brand founded by Dr Munir Somji and Henal Somji, rooted in the expertise of the DrMediSpa clinic group (Knightsbridge, Marylebone, Loughton). With a credible clinical heritage, a tightly curated product range, and strong early momentum in DTC, the brand is now ready to build its retail and wholesale footprint, in the UK and internationally.
We are looking for an experienced, well-connected commercial operator who can open doors quickly, negotiate with authority, and close meaningful accounts. This is a role for someone who already knows the buyers, understands the premium and clinical beauty landscape, and can work autonomously to deliver results.
What you’ll do
* Identify, approach, and close retail and pharmacy accounts across the UK — including premium department stores, independent pharmacies, beauty specialist retailers, and nurse-led clinical/aesthetic stockists
* Build and manage an international distribution pipeline, prioritising markets with strong demand for clinical prestige skincare
* Develop and present compelling trade sell-in materials in partnership with the marketing team
Negotiate commercial terms, ranging from margin and minimums to exclusivity and support requirements
* Manage relationships post-opening to support sell-through, reorders, and account growth
* Provide strategic input on channel prioritisation, pricing architecture, and retail readiness
* Represent Dr Somji Skincare at trade shows, buying appointments, and industry events where relevant
* Report on pipeline, conversion, and account performance on a monthly basis
Who we’re looking for
* Proven track record opening retail and/or pharmacy accounts for premium, clinical, or prestige skincare brands — ideally in both UK and international markets
* Existing relationships with buyers at key UK premium and pharmacy retailers (e.g. Liberty, Harrods, Selfridges, Space NK, John Lewis, John Bell & Croydon, THG, independent aesthetics stockists)
* Experience in international distribution — identifying and qualifying distributors, structuring deals, and managing territory relationships
* Commercial acumen: you understand margin, sell-through, FOB pricing, trading terms, and what it takes to make a new brand work on-shelf
* Comfortable operating at a senior level with founders and external stakeholders — confident, polished, and persuasive
* Entrepreneurial mindset: self-directed, outcome-focused, and motivated by building something from the ground up
* Familiarity with the clinical aesthetics or dermatology channel is a strong advantage

* UK premium retail: John Bell & Croydon, Space NK, Selfridges, Harrods Beauty, Liberty, John Lewis, Cult Beauty, Look Fantastic, Sephora, QVC – strategy to be created
* UK premium pharmacy & clinical: Independent high end pharmacies, salons and nurse-led aesthetic clinics
* International: Europe, USA, Middle East
