Funeral Director
We have provided Funeral Services to clients and families across the East of England for over 90 years. Our Funeral Directors are crucial to the service we provide, given their leading role in ensuring a faultless final tribute. You will recognize that our clients and families trust us to deliver the service they've planned. As a Funeral Director, you'll liaise with the Funeral Co-ordinator, crematorium and cemetery staff, Ministers, and lead the wider ceremonial team to ensure this is realized. Our priority is always the care of our deceased and their families.
In this senior role within our operational teams, you will demonstrate and drive high standards of care, service, and compliance.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensure Funeral Services are conducted according to clients' and families' wishes.
2. Be the main contact for clients and families throughout the service, providing guidance to colleagues.
3. Assist with care duties for the deceased, especially as they leave our Chapel.
4. Support the development of colleagues.
5. Maintain cleanliness and high standards of facilities and vehicles, oversee chapel visits, etc.
6. Engage with the local community, including crematoriums and cemeteries, to develop relationships and networks.
You may also participate in an 'out-of-hours' on-call rota, which will be discussed further during the interview process.
We are open to candidates with previous experience in Funeral Services, though training and support will be provided if needed. Professionalism, empathy, and strong people skills are essential. Being local, you will be fully supported by nearby branches, Head Office colleagues, and your line manager.
Essential requirements:

* Good knowledge of the local area
* Full UK manual driving licence
Professional qualifications like NAFD are a plus but not essential.
