The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing team and oversee the successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction project management, excellent stakeholder communication, and a proactive approach to driving results on-site and behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning and coordination of civil engineering projects, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
* Liaise with clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams to define project scopes and key deliverables.
* Manage day-to-day site activity in collaboration with site supervisors and engineering staff.
* Oversee resource planning, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Provide regular updates and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
* Champion continual improvement and support innovation in project delivery methods.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience managing infrastructure or construction projects, ideally within highways, surfacing, or civil engineering.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills, capable of coordinating teams and subcontractors across multiple projects.
* Familiarity with NEC contracts and experience delivering public sector works is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in project planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
* Full UK driving licence is essential.
