Job Overview
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with an interest in sarcoma and lower limb reconstruction surgery. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery and development of high‑quality Plastic Surgical care, encompassing head and neck and lower limb reconstruction. Responsibilities include teaching, continuing medical education, audit and clinical governance, and participation in departmental administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Shared responsibility for providing a high quality sarcoma and lower limb reconstruction service supporting the Major Trauma Centre.
* Provide on‑call cover for plastic surgery trauma patients.
* Support and educate trainees and medical students in the department.
* Work as part of multidisciplinary teams to promote safe, high‑quality care for patients.
* Report to the Service Line Director and Medical Director to maintain and improve Patients Charter standards.
* Deliver services in line with flexible working requirements to meet service aims and objectives.
Contract Details
* 10‑PA contract with dedicated SPA time; potential to increase to 12 PAs with optional DCC sessions.
* Coverage includes elective care (clinics and operations) and plastic surgery trauma on‑call cover.
