A reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant is needed to support the daily operations of the school kitchen. The role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and assisting with stock and deliveries. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working around children, able to work well in a team, and flexible in handling various tasks such as food preparation, serving, cleaning, and stock management.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Preparing and serving food in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
2. Cleaning kitchen and dining areas, setting up equipment as needed.
3. Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and COSHH regulations.
4. Providing courteous and responsive customer service.
5. Safeguarding responsibilities, confidentiality, and child protection policies.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 20 hours per week during term time plus 5 INSET days. The salary starts at £11,999, with a full-time equivalent of £24,413. The role will commence once pre-employment checks are completed.
