About United Autosports

United Autosports is one of the largest and most successful motorsport teams in the UK, competing globally in the FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA, Historics and European Le Mans Series.

We are proud of our record in prototype and GT racing, including championship victories and iconic race wins. To strengthen our LMP2 programme, we are recruiting anexperienced and highly competent Race Engineerto join our world-class team.

The Role

This is not a development role. We are looking for aproven Race Engineerwith significant international-level experience who can operate at the highest standard from day one.

You will lead the engineering operation on one of our LMP2 entries, responsible for car performance, driver communication, and technical decision-making in the most competitive environments. You must bring authority, technical expertise, and composure — delivering results under pressure across endurance races worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead engineering of an LMP2 car at race events, tests, and simulator sessions.

* Deliver optimum performance through set-up, strategy, and driver collaboration.

* Prepare run plans, setup sheets, strategy documents, and technical reports.

* Analyse and act decisively on data, driver feedback, and competitor information.

* Ensure reliability, compliance, and performance against technical/sporting regulations.

* Direct communication with drivers during sessions and races, providing clarity under pressure.

* Collaborate with mechanics, engineers, and factory colleagues to achieve seamless car preparation and execution.

* Contribute to continual improvement within the LMP2 engineering group.

Essential Skills & Experience

We will only consider applicants who can clearly demonstrate:

* Proven experience as a Race Engineer at international endurance level(LMP2, LMP3, Hypercar, or comparable high-level prototype).

* Strong academic/technical background (engineering degree or equivalent senior experience).

* Full competence with data analysis systems (Cosworth, Atlas, Pi Toolbox, Motec, etc.).

* Deep understanding of endurance racing strategy, tyre management, and regulations.

* Outstanding communication skills with drivers, engineers, and colleagues.

* Calm authority in high-pressure, live-race environments.

* Evidence of delivering results and consistency at the sharp end of the grid.
