We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Service Manager to work with a forward-thinking MSP based in Somerset. The IT Service Manager will be at the forefront of ensuring the company’s services are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs. The role involves leading IT service delivery and system administration teams, driving safe and efficient operations. Significant experience in shaping and delivering IT projects within a multi-divisional business is required.
Role responsibilities:
* Collaborate with managers and partners to meet business priorities, conduct service reviews, and implement improvements.
* Manage and support project-specific partner services.
* Oversee infrastructure and applications, ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Work proactively with suppliers to address service gaps.
* Maintain and align Service Level Agreements with business priorities.
* Identify and implement service improvements with partners.
* Understand IT cost drivers and recommend cost-effective solutions.
* Act as the primary interface for IT issues between the business and partners.
* Monitor risks related to operational application services and escalate as needed.
* Define and report on system performance, including third-party support.
* Manage changes to production services to minimise impact.
* Ensure smooth transition of IT services from delivery to operations.
* Allocate resources efficiently within the project portfolio.
* Manage stakeholder communications.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
* Strong background in System Administration support.
* Proven experience in delivering service improvements and managing IT service delivery, including financial aspects.
* Highly service-oriented with strong partnership-building skills.
* Experience in managing external service providers.
* Skilled in SLA development and management.
* Experience in developing services to meet evolving business needs.
* Practical knowledge of AzureDevOps, JIRA, or similar tools supporting agile methodologies.
* Leadership and influence over project teams.

* Ability to present reports effectively.
