ROLE: INFLATABLES FITTER
JOB PURPOSE:
To disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their sub-components. To reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their sub-components in accordance with CMM’s / OHM’s and OEM packing instructions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their sub components.
2. To reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their sub components in accordance with CMM’s / OHM’s and OEM packing instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3. Numerate and literate – minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
4. OEM training in maintenance and overhaul of safety equipment (highly desirable)
EXPERIENCE:
5. Experience of repairing and packing aircraft safety equipment (highly desirable).
6. Previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop environment (highly desirable)
7. Prior experience working of interpreting and following in detail compliance manuals.

8. Working within a small team of skilled fitters, reliability, flexibility and team work are key skill requirements.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build close-knit relationships
10. Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
