On behalf of Rolls-Royce, AMS are currently recruiting for a Project Lead. This position is available on an initial 12-month contract based on their Derby site. Please note, this position is going to be hybrid with a mix of 3 days working from the office and remaining days working from home. Core duties and responsibilities: Owning the formulation and delivery of critical part life extension plans throughout the lifecycle of scope definition, Life Management Plan Delivery and Time Limits Manual updates. Leading Trent 7000 Life Management Plans through the APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) gates. Integrating the work of dispersed technical teams including Systems Design & Integration and the Cold End Lifting Teams to achieve the objective of life extension. Owning the forecasting and development of budget submissions. Contributing to standardised reporting of Life Management Plan metrics. Reporting to the Programme Manager for all Trent 1000 & 7000 Life Management Time-On-Wing Life extensions and being part of the Programme Team led by the Vice President of Services Programmes. Key skills and experience required: This role is intended to suit a sub-contractor, ideally with some experience of the life extension of critical parts. Experience and competence in the use of Primavera P6 is highly desirable. Experience of SAP, Kanban & Coupa is also desirable but not essential. The ideal candidate will be a good problem solver, relish a challenge and be comfortable with ambiguity, on-going change through improvement and technical complexity. The role will suit a candidate with high levels of resilience, energy and tenacity when faced with programme and technical challenges. Experience of change control processes and APQP would be an advantage. An Engineering and/or Project Management degree level qualification is required, and some basic knowledge of manufacturing, materials and stress analysis terminology would be advantageous.
