Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and janitorial services, ensuring that our establishment maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will lead a team of housekeepers, manage work standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operation.
* Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain cleanliness standards.
* Train new staff members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
* Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
* Manage and Rotate linen stock, checking for quality and implementing correct returns procedure.
* Track log and store any lost property.
* Address guest inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Develop and implement cleaning schedules to optimise workflow and efficiency.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery throughout the establishment.
* Report All maintenance issues promptly.
Experience
* Previous hotel experience is essential for this role, with a strong understanding of hospitality standards.
* Proven experience in janitorial services or a similar supervisory role is highly desirable.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and guests.
