What you’ll be doing:
Prepare, modify, and check drawing sets and parts lists for the manufacturing control of products, working under the supervision of Drawing Office team leadership. Apply draughting standards, tools, and methods to deliver an accurate and timely service to customers. Produce drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.100 and BS 8888 standards, ensuring compliance with industry requirements. Demonstrate an understanding of engineering manufacturing processes and capabilities when creating and modifying models and drawings to departmental standards. Use in-house data management tools such as Teamcenter and follow the change management control process. Check the work of other Mechanical Technicians and support Drawing Office technicians with additional tasks and activities as required.
* Some experience in product design (even at hobby level) – Full training will be provided
* STEM related qualification at A Level / HNC
The Mechanical Engineering Team:
As a Mechanical Technician Trainee, you will work with other technicians and support design engineers, to understand the design detail in order to deliver technical drawings, documentation, and change control. Working to a high level of accuracy and quality, using industry standards, in accordance to schedule and budget constraints.
