Its location just 30 minutes from central London and close to Gatwick makes it a convenient choice for both domestic and international guests. The hotel delivers the trusted Holiday Inn Express experience - friendly service, modern amenities, and great value -backed by the strength of the IHG brand.
The Role
We are looking for a commercially driven and people-focused leader to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations and long-term success of the hotel. This role reports directly to the RBH Operations Director and requires a General Manager who is as comfortable inspiring their team on the floor as they are driving performance in the boardroom.
The Successful Candidate Will
* Take ownership of the hotel's P&L, delivering against budgeted targets and optimising revenue across rooms, meetings, and ancillary streams.
* Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
* Drive revenue growth through strong commercial planning, working closely with RBH support teams and IHG systems to maximise occupancy, rate, and market share.
* Champion guest satisfaction by embedding a service culture where every interaction is genuine, efficient, and aligned with the Holiday Inn Express brand.
* Ensure operational excellence across all departments, maintaining brand compliance and high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including hotel owners, local business partners, and the wider community.
* Represent the hotel externally, raising its profile through networking, partnerships, and community engagement.
* Seek opportunities for innovation and sustainability that enhance the hotel's market position and reputation.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager within a branded hotel environment.
* Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance revenue management, cost control, and profit optimisation.
* Inspirational leadership skills with a track record of developing engaged and high-performing teams.
* A guest-centric mindset with a passion for creating seamless and memorable experiences.
* Hands-on operational expertise with the ability to lead from the front and support across all areas of the hotel.
* Experience working within IHG or another major global hotel brand would be advantageous.
* Confident communicator able to engage with owners, colleagues, and the local business community.
