Job Title: Concierge Security Officer Based: E1W Reporting to: Site Security Manager / Client Facilities Manager Shift Pattern / Hours of Duty: Monday to Friday 0700-1900 (60 hrs per week) Pay Rate: £14.80 p.h Objective: We are looking for a Concierge Security Officer to provide a visible, professional security presence whilst delivering high-level customer service in a mixed-use property that includes retail, commercial, and luxury residential spaces. This role blends traditional security responsibilities with concierge-style service, ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of residents, tenants, visitors and clients. The officer serves as a key point of contact at the building’s main reception and represents the property with discretion, courtesy, and professionalism at all times. Key Responsibilities: Security & Safety Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity and ensure a safe environment Monitor access points, alarms and life-safety systems Control building access by verifying identification, credentials, and authorisations Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas, including retail, commercial, and residential spaces Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns Enforce building rules, policies, and procedures in a professional and customer- focused manner Initialise call out procedures in the event of a crisis situation arising. Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire and emergency services when required Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handovers Additional ad-hoc administration duties and any reasonable requests from the client in relation to the building management. Concierge & Customer Service Greet residents, tenants, employees, and visitors alike in a courteous and professional manner Provide directions, building information, and general assistance as needed Manage visitor registration, deliveries, and contractor access, issuing keys and passes as required. Support resident and tenant requests whilst maintaining security protocols Handle complaints or concerns calmly, escalating issues promptly and appropriately Maintain a polished reception lobby appropriate to a high-end property Communication & Professionalism Communicate clearly and professionally with property management, tenants, residents and team members Demonstrate discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information Serve as an ambassador of the property, upholding its standards and reputation Assist with special events, VIP visits, or high-profile situations as required Person Specification: Two years prior experience as a concierge security officer or in a similar security role preferred Experience in luxury residential, commercial, retail, or mixed-use properties strongly desired Current and valid SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection License holder Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive under pressure Valid First Aid At Work certificate Aptitudes and attitudes: =Excellent Customer Service, literacy and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English Possess an excellent telephone manner Must be computer literate, with the full range of Microsoft office suite applications Strong observation and situational awareness skills Professional appearance and demeanour Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Sound judgment and conflict-resolution skills Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or sit for extended periods Ability to perform patrol and emergency response duties efficiently and effectively Including climbing stairs as required Ability to lift or move objects as necessary (within reasonable limits) Personal attributes: A consistently smart appearance in the uniform provided and required by Unitrust Reliability, self-motivation and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people including the client, the client’s staff and visitors, in all circumstances including emergencies and other times of stress Self-confidence and an interest in self-development To perform patrol and emergency response duties efficiently and effectively Other: The nature of the role is such that it is essential that the post holder has and will maintain an excellent record of attendance and timekeeping Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Concierge Security Officer!
