Your new role
This is a fantastic newly created role for someone looking to make their first move out of external audit and practice. The Group Internal Auditor reports to the Director of Internal Audit who in turn reports to the Group Chief Financial Officer and has a dotted line to the Chair of the Auditmittee. You will be joining a small but skilled global team that has been in place since 2022 and is rapidly bing an invaluable partner to the business.
The main activity of the function is ‘Value Protection’ from supporting management on risk andernance frameworks through to targeted audit reviews. Their audits are identified through an annual planning exercise which identifies risk-based topics categorised as process, technology and location specific. An important element of the work is the flexibility and reactivity to investigate incidents and provide direction to management on next steps.
What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant who has trained in practice and is seeking their first move into industry. You will need strongmunication skills to be able to build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, both in the UK and overseas.
What you'll get in return
Our client can offer lots of flexibility around working and hybrid patterns, with the expectation of needing to be in the office one day per week, with some (infrequent) UK and international travel. The client is seeking a future Internal Audit Manager, although there will also be progression opportunities within the group. Alongside apetitive basic salary, there is a benefits package, which includes a 10% bonus.
