We are recruiting a Land Surveyor/Setting Out Engineer experienced in large earthworks projects. With at least four years of land surveying experience, you'll be required to:
1. Complete topographical surveys and volumetrics with setting up machine control
2. Set out earthworks with optical and GPS equipment (Trimble)
3. Set up and manage machine control (Topcon)
4. Prepare and maintain work records and data sheets, ensuring work complies with contract requirements
5. Maintain contract management quality records as directed by Senior Engineers/Site Agents
6. Produce As-Built Drawings in accordance with client requirements
7. Carry out site surveys for weekly/monthly measurement purposes
8. Submit processed information to Company Quantity Surveyors and Site Agents
9. Manage the control of site activities, as directed by Senior Engineers/Site Agents
10. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental responsibilities as outlined in the Group Safety, Health and Environmental Policy
11. Complete daily site diaries
12. Project a professional image
13. Work effectively as part of a team and maintain client relations
Skills/Experience: The following qualifications/competencies are required:
1. Valid CSCS card
2. Experience with LSS or similar software
3. Experience in various Civil Engineering disciplines
4. Good oral and written communication skills
5. Flexibility and adaptability
6. Organizational skills
7. Problem-solving ability
8. Computer literacy
Experience working on civil engineering projects, including Earthworks, is essential. Ideally, you will hold or be working towards a qualification in Civil Engineering.
