Job Description: We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. Key Responsibilities:
* Directing a team of operatives daily, dealing with problems as they arise and escalating when required.
* Operate a Counterbalance and Pivot Steer to load and unload palletised goods from lorries, including placing pallets into racking systems.
* Completing various checks in the warehouse, on individuals, on MHE and equipment.
* Monitor picking operations within designated area to ensure safety and performance are maintained in-line with company expectations and targets
* Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects. To liaise with the distribution office to ensure a smooth operation between the transport and warehouse departments.
* Engage with warehouse operatives to encourage best practice and understand any issues which are preventing them from achieving optimal pick rate in-line with company targets.
* Use warehouse systems and scanners to accurately receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods whilst handling all goods with care and attention.
* Replenish stock and consolidate inventory as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse and ensure the equipment is kept in good condition.
* Daily handover at the end of each shift.
Requirements:
* Hold either a current Counterbalance license or a Pivot Steer licence.
* Good communication and team working skills.
* Attention to detail is essential.
* Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
