Instore, a proud part of Smiths News, is on the lookout for a passionate Field Sales Executive to join our dynamic team in the Slough/Reading area. If you thrive in a field-based role and have a knack for building relationships, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!


About the Role

As a Field Sales Executive, you will be the driving force behind expanding our retail distribution points by promoting our client’s products within the Independent Retail Sector, including Convenience, CTN, and Grocery stores. You’ll be the key link between our globally recognized client and Instore, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.


Your Responsibilities

* Drive Sales: Meet and exceed sales and distribution targets across various accounts.
* Build Relationships: Develop strong connections with business owners to unlock new distribution opportunities.
* Maximize Brand Presence: Ensure our client’s products are prominently displayed and available in your territory.
* Effective Communication: Share best practices with colleagues and keep your Line Manager informed.
* Problem Solving: Proactively address issues before they escalate.
* Market Understanding: Maintain expert knowledge of the client’s products and the retail landscape.
* Administration: Complete all necessary paperwork to a high standard and on time.


What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

* Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
* Sales Experience: Previous experience in a relevant sales or retail environment, ideally within FMCG or consumer goods.
* Relationship Building: Strong skills in building and maintaining customer relationships.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and manage your territory effectively.
* Analytical Skills: Good at interpreting data to drive sales performance.
* Driving License: A full and clean driving license is essential.


Working Conditions

This is a field-based role with a typical work schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will have the flexibility to manage your own territory, with occasional visits to our headquarters and offsite meetings.

* Competitive Salary: Earn between £25,000 - £27,000 per annum, plus a performance-related bonus of 10%.
