An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Band 6 Research Nurse to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a leading role in the planning, coordination, and completion of a portfolio of clinical trials, including some early phase trials.
The successful candidate will coordinate and oversee academic and commercial clinical trials, working closely with the multidisciplinary team and colleagues in the clinical trials unit to ensure patient safety, accurate data collection, high-quality care, and adherence to study protocols, maintaining effective communication and safe working practices within a complex regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in setting up, organizing, and running clinical trials within the CTU, ensuring compliance with ICH-GCP standards and related regulations/SOPs.
2. Coordinate arrangements for patients participating in clinical trials, according to study protocols, and communicate necessary information to relevant personnel.
3. Manage a portfolio of trials related to specific site areas, collaborating with the data management team and other CTU members, keeping information up to date, and maintaining a comprehensive portfolio.
4. Provide leadership and motivation for staff, facilitate orientation and training, and ensure dissemination of study information.
5. Be professionally accountable for all actions and recognize limitations of the role.
6. Assist the Senior Research Nurses in managing the nursing aspects of clinical research and deputize in their absence.
7. Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the CTU.
