Are you passionate about improving residents’ homes and wellbeing? This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Housing Association in Islington as a Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) — a key role focused on supporting residents, addressing issues such as damp and mould, and ensuring compliance with the new Awaab’s Law. You’ll be the vital link between residents, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring everyone is kept informed, supported, and listened to. THE ROLE
The Resident Liaison Officer will act as the main point of contact for residents, providing information, reassurance, and practical support throughout property maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects — with a particular focus on ensuring timely and effective responses to damp and mould reports.
Key duties include:
Building strong, trusted relationships with residents and leaseholders.
Providing clear, timely communication on projects, repairs, and service updates.
Managing resident enquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
Liaising with contractors to ensure minimal disruption to residents’ daily lives.
Supporting engagement events and community initiatives.
Advocating for residents’ needs and ensuring their voices are heard.
Collaborating closely with the wider Housing and Neighbourhoods team to deliver a high-quality resident experience.THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Resident Liaison Officer, Customer Service, or Housing/Community Engagement role, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Essential experience includes:
Proven background in housing, customer service, or resident engagement.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver a resident-first approach.
Confident in liaising with residents, contractors, and colleagues at all levels.
Empathetic, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding service.THE CONTRACT
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Length of Contract: 3 -Month Temporary Contract
Rate: £24.41 per hour LTD / £20.95 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday) HOW TO APPLY
