Meraki is working with a Global leading Accountancy Practice who is actively recruiting for a Corporate Tax Associate Director in either Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen.
The Scottish Corporate Tax team comprises over 75 professionals and spans a broad range of specialisms, including international tax, financial services, transfer pricing, corporation tax compliance, tax audit, mergers and acquisitions, and private client services. This breadth of expertise enables the team to support a diverse client base across listed companies, as well as UK inbound, UK outbound, and private markets.
Responsibilities:
* Retain, own, and build on current UK and global client relationships.
* Work closely with a variety of senior stakeholders and subject experts on various advisory services.
* Work closely with less- experienced and junior professionals to aid their career development and be a people leader.
* Take ownership of advisory projects globally. This would include client and wider stakeholder management in relation to deadlines, billing requirements and resource management in your team.
Requirements:
* Professionally qualified (e.g. CA, ACA, CTA) or able to demonstrate comparable experience;
* Brings in-depth knowledge of UK corporate taxation fundamentals as well as international tax concept's
* Has been responsible for overseeing and delivering advisory work on tax matters, including transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, refinancing arrangements, and Pillar Two.
* Experienced in leading teams and ensuring high-quality tax support is provided to a broad and varied client portfolio.
* Familiar with, or motivated to work closely with, clients operating across multiple jurisdictions.
* Exhibits strong interpersonal communication skills together with effective project coordination and delivery expertise.
