Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing excellent customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice and maintaining a welcoming environment for our patients. Please note, this is a full time position and no negotiation on hours will be available.
Duties
* Greet patients warmly as they arrive and assist them with check-in procedures.
* Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations to optimise the daily schedule.
* Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
* Process patient payments and handle insurance claims as necessary.
* Assist with general office duties, including filing, data entry, and maintaining a clean reception area.
* Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication within the practice.
Requirements
* Previous office experience is essential, preferably within a healthcare or dental setting.
* Administrative experience with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly disposition.
* Proficient in using computer systems and dental software applications.
* Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
