<div><p>Our client based in Stoke‑on‑Trent is seeking an experienced Part‑Time Payroll Officer to join their busy team on a term‑time basis, plus one additional week per year. In this role, you will support the Payroll Manager with monthly payroll processing and pension administration. We are looking for a highly organised and computer‑literate individual with proven payroll experience and excellent attention to detail.</p><ul><li>Driving licence is essential as you may be required to travel to other sites</li><li>Be able to complete a DBS certificate</li></ul><ul><li>Must have strong payroll experience</li><li>Driving licence is essential as you may be required to travel to other sites</li><li>Be able to complete a DBS certificate</li></ul><h3>Job Description</h3><ul><li>Create and maintain all payroll records</li><li>Production of monthly payroll for all sites</li><li>Provide salary benchmarking information</li><li>Carry out monthly payroll checks and reconciliations</li><li>Process new starters, leavers, contractual changes, and additional hours using the payroll system</li><li>Support payroll audits and assist with the preparation of payroll‑related documentation and reports</li><li>Provide support with recruitment administration, absence management, and contractual pay matters</li><li>Administer claims for additional payments and deductions</li><li>Calculate pay variations including back pay, holiday pay and unpaid leave</li><li>Ensure all salary, overtime, and expense claims are accurate and processed correctly</li><li>Act as a key point of contact for payroll and pension‑related queries</li><li>Support with other duties including HR, training and first aid when required</li></ul><h3>Candidate Requirements</h3><ul><li>Must have strong payroll experience</li><li>Ideally have experience using MIS systems</li><li>An understanding of HMRC payroll requirements</li><li>Be able to complete a DBS certificate</li><li>Driving licence is essential as you may be required to travel to other sites</li><li>GCSE in Maths & English</li><li>Must be computer literate including the use of Word and Excel</li><li>Excellent attention to detail</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Full understanding of confidentiality and data protectionBe able to work to deadlines</li></ul><p>This role would suit candidates with the following experience: Payroll Officer, Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Executive, Payroll Assistant</p><p><b>Hours:</b> Monday to Friday: 20 hours per week over 4/5 days</p><p><b>Salary:</b>£13,859 - £15,034 per annum DOE</p></div>
