The Role
As Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across the site, ensuring production targets are achieved, customer expectations are exceeded, and teams are motivated to deliver at their best. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in shaping the operational strategy and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage schedulling, warehouse, and supply chain teams to deliver on time, in full, and to the highest quality standards.
* Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise processes.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and best practices.
* Manage budgets, resources, and KPIs to ensure operational and financial performance targets are met.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Work closely with commercial and technical teams to support customer requirements and new product introductions.
* Build, develop, and mentor teams, ensuring strong succession planning and leadership capability.
About You
Essential:
* Proven experience as an Operations Manager (or similar leadership role) within packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG.
* Strong track record of managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent knowledge of operational processes, supply chain, and production planning.
* Skilled in driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
* Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Desirable:
* Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
* Experience in working with automated packaging machinery.
* Knowledge of ISO standards, BRC, or similar quality systems.
