Working closely with our production, technical, and compliance teams, you’ll champion processes that maintain food safety, hygiene, and environmental standards. This is a hands-on role that requires energy, enthusiasm, and a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.

You’ll be part of a dedicated Quality team central to our Kitchen operations. As Butternut grows, there’s an exciting opportunity to help shape how we deliver quality at scale.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, based on-site. The role follows standard office hours, and regular on-site presence (5 days per week) is required to support day-to-day operations and collaboration with our teams.

* Coordinate customer complaints from receipt through to investigation and response
* Coordinate export processes and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements

* Coordinate and report on nutritional and microbiological testing, collect water samples, and perform equipment verifications
* Organise and lead our food taste panels
* Coordinate corrective action investigations across the site
* Manage stock control, including inventory monitoring and documentation accuracy
* Provide weekly and monthly data reporting, supporting the preparation of department KPIs
* Confident using computers and digital tools, especially spreadsheets and data management systems
* Support or have experience in quality, compliance, or food safety roles within FMCG/manufacturing
* Experience coordinating testing and verification programmes (e.g. nutritional, microbiological)
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes
* Experience managing or supporting processes across food safety, hygiene, environmental, and compliance functions
* Able to handle customer complaints professionally from initial receipt through to investigation and response
* Willingness to take on challenges and build processes from the ground up
* Experience managing stock control and maintaining accurate records
* Pragmatic, adaptable, and resilient – stay calm and solutions-focused when busy
* Loves dogs and cats
