The Team Our client's international Banking & Finance Practice Group advises an impressive roster of UK and global financial institutions, private equity houses, funds and corporates. The team handles complex domestic and cross-border finance transactions and regularly works opposite Magic Circle and major U.S. firms. The practice covers:
• Corporate/leveraged finance
• Real estate finance
• Energy & Infrastructure finance
• Debt capital markets The Banking & Finance PSL team supports this practice and is seeking an experienced PSL (Senior Associate level), with a minimum of 4 PQE, to join an established and ambitious knowledge function. Role & Key Responsibilities This PSL role primarily supports the UK Finance team but also contributes to knowledge initiatives across the global network. Working closely with legal technologists, you will deliver technical excellence through:
• Drafting, updating and improving precedents
• Creating guidance notes, toolkits and training materials
• Researching and writing internal and client-facing bulletins, briefings and horizon scanning reports
• Managing current awareness and market updates
• Leading on key sector initiatives with senior support
• Organising and delivering team training (in person and online)
• Managing the knowledge bank with PSL support assistants
• Supporting key clients with training and knowledge services
• Collaborating with the legal technology team to test and implement new tools
• Responding to ad hoc technical queries from the Finance team
• Supporting process improvement initiatives across the firm You will work closely with existing Finance PSLs, PSLs across Corporate Finance and Commercial Advisory, and senior partners in the UK Finance practice. Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will:
• Have 4 years' PQE in banking law, ideally with experience in corporate debt/leveraged finance, structured finance, or energy & infrastructure finance
• Possess strong technical legal skills and a passion for black-letter law
• Have experience using legal technology tools and an interest in adopting new solutions
• Be a team player and self-starter with creativity and enthusiasm for innovation
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
