Our Butchery sits within our Food Hall and we pride ourselves on our outstanding meat on offer. We are proud to be certified as a butcher of 100% pasture fed beef in East Kent and we work with several farms in the South East that are certified by the PFLA. This roles offers you a unique opportunity to work in a values driven environment, surrounded by fine quality food and drinks with a real emphasis on engagement with our customers.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Butcher with a passion and understanding of fresh produce who is looking to enhance their skills and grow within our business. Preferably, you will have first-hand knowledge of whole carcass butchery, or have excellent knife skills gained from previous experience working as a chef.
The role will include all aspects of the day to day running of a successful butchery as detailed below:
- Prepare meat from the carcass ensuring the finished product is of an excellent standard and meat displays are of the highest quality.
- Prepare a variety of products, including sausages to the highest standard.
- Constantly develop and review products, to ensure that the butchery continues to offer exciting choices for customers.
- Provide a friendly and informative service by educating our customers on our meat, and ensuring an excellent customer journey
This is a full time role of 42.5 hours per week which will include weekends and occasional evening work. The salary is £32,045 per year.
You will receive 28 days holiday per year and this includes Bank Holidays.
