Location & Hours
Location: Salford / Speke
Hours: 40 hours per week (some flexibility available)
Your Responsibilities
As our M&E Design Team Lead, you’ll play a crucial role in managing engineers and overseeing the design and delivery of essential building services such as HVAC, lighting, and power systems. Your expertise will ensure technical quality, compliance, and seamless coordination with architects and project managers on complex construction projects.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Supporting the Head of Service in managing the Building Services team in Liverpool, collaborating with Electrical, Mechanical, and Tunnels Team leaders.
* Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with clients, ensuring quality output and team development.
* Setting and monitoring standards for product delivery, aligning with industry practices.
* Championing continuous professional development (CPD) events to keep the team’s skills sharp.
* Engaging in business development activities, including bid submissions and client meetings.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Are a Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE or IET, with a degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
* Have significant knowledge of the road tunnel industry.
* Can communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible way.
* Have experience with quality procedures and document control in engineering design.
* Can meet the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements.
