Business Development Manager - Telematics Sector
📍 Fully Remote (1 day a month in Colchester office)
💰 £35,000 - £45,000 DOE + Commission + Car Allowance
Are you a results-driven sales professional with experience in B2B sales and a passion for technology? We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our client in the telematics sector.
This is a fully remote role with just one day per month required in the Colchester office - offering you flexibility while being part of an ambitious, supportive team.
🚀 The Role:
As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving new business growth, with a strong focus on outbound prospecting and closing high-value contracts (3-5 years in duration). You'll also receive some inbound leads, but your focus will be building and managing your own sales pipeline.
You'll be selling telematics hardware solutions, with sales targets based on gross profit on hardware. Strong consultative sales skills and the ability to understand client needs are essential.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify, target, and engage new B2B clients
Manage full sales cycle: from prospecting and qualification to closing deals
Sell long-term contracts (3-5 years) tailored to client needs
Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline of opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction
Work to (and exceed!) gross profit-based sales targets
🎯 What We're Looking For:
Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in the telematics, fleet sectors
Self-starter with a hunter mentality and a track record of winning new business
Ability to sell complex solutions and long-term contracts
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
Full UK driving licence
💼 What's On Offer:
£35,000 - £45,000 basic salary (DOE)
