The Business Development Manager role at TÜV SÜD is predominantly a customer-facing position. The successful candidate will be expected to visit clients and align their needs with our services. We seek an individual with commercial awareness and an understanding of the TIC industry related to product development, who is eager to support customers through the compliance journey. You will collaborate with our inside sales team to generate proposals, present, negotiate, and close deals.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Selecting and maintaining a portfolio of accounts with growth potential.
* Proactively contacting prospective clients and assessing their needs.
* Visiting customers to explore their certification and testing requirements.
* Attending trade shows and industry events.
* Proposing strategies for new business generation.
Qualifications / Qualifikationen
Essential Criteria:
* Commercial awareness and understanding of TIC, especially for product compliance.
* High-level knowledge of legislation affecting product markets, including:
o CE/UKCA Marking
o FCC Certification
o NRTL Certification
o CB Certification
* Experience with radio, EMC, safety, SAR testing and certification, GMA services.
* Technical aptitude capable of quickly understanding technical information.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A collaborative, positive attitude with proactive engagement and self-development.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
