About the Role
As Sr. Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing Harman’s automotive business to meet customer-specific booking targets. You will engage with the customer early to create business opportunities and drive these opportunities with healthy commercials to award.
What You Will Do
1. Execute the pursuit strategy for new business opportunities in alignment with the customer account strategy.
2. Identify and create new pursuits and drive early engagement activities including “war gaming” and 10 standards.
3. Own RFI/RFQ responses for new business opportunities and be responsible for the quote as well as for commercial sourcing negotiations with the customer.
4. Create unique selling propositions and value statements that are game-changing.
5. Understand customer expectations (cost, requirements, timing) and define internal targets to meet them.
6. Identify key stakeholders and decision makers and develop strategies to win new business.
What You Need
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Engineering.
* 6+ years of related sales experience.
* Thorough understanding of P&L statements, business cases, quotes, and contracts.
* Strong hunting and negotiation skills.
* Experience executing a strategy.
* Understanding of Automotive OEM organization and processes.
* Experience with or working alongside applicable customers.

* Basic technical understanding of Automotive hardware and software systems.
