* UK experience within a public, private or third-sector UK-based client
* Lead the design and delivery of highway engineering schemes from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, legislation and regulations
* Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support
* Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications
* Conduct site visits and inspections, and liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with clients, stakeholders and contractors
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIHT
* Project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, resources, and schedules effectively
* A full UK driving licence
