Drone Pilot Position at Aureos
Aureos is seeking Drone Pilots to join our team based in Bathgate, supporting surveying projects across the UK.
As part of the Survey Team, you will be responsible for on-site data acquisition using UAV platforms, ensuring data integrity, and performing mission planning, equipment preparation, and liaising with ATC when necessary.
You will also handle data processing, management, and presentation, including photography, videography, photogrammetry, LiDAR, thermal imagery, and GNSS survey control data.
Your responsibilities include managing aircraft maintenance, software updates, flight logs, and documentation. You will ensure all equipment and personnel are prepared before mobilization, and all survey tasks are clearly understood.
Minimum Requirements
1. HND/degree in Land Survey, Geomatics, or equivalent.
2. PfCO GVC certificate with experience flying multirotor and fixed-wing drones in a commercial environment.
3. Experience with laser-scanning products and data manipulation for BIM is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
4. Understanding of photogrammetry principles and related software applications.
5. Experience in preparing drone and survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
6. Experience with flight planning, meteorology, system preparation, and airspace management in compliance with CAA regulations.
7. Proficiency in using GPS kits, Total Stations, or Levels.
8. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Strong report writing and compilation skills.
10. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills.
11. Full UK driving license, as travel across the country is required.
