We are looking for an experienced cafe manager/cook in charge to join our team here at Melin Tregwynt, ideal hospitality job, no late nights and only very occasional evening work, day shifts between 9am and 5.30pm, an opportunity to become part of something special. Main duties and responsibilities:
Working within the Mill cafe to meet customers' needs and create a positive experience for customers visiting Melin Tregwynt.
* Cooking
* Designing and creating menus
* Sourcing ingredients, looking at pricing, quality etc
* Planning functions and events
* Responsible for day to day running of the kitchen
* Planning staff rotas
* Upkeep and maintenance of all food hygiene records
* Working with an established team
* Creating dishes from scratch
* Maintaining high standards for cleanliness
* Providing quality home cooked dishes
* Experience of leading a team essential
Skills:
* Food safety certificate level 2
* Food safety certificate level 3 desirable
* Minimum 2 years cooking experience in a busy catering kitchen environment
* Supervisory experience
Other:
* As an EOT all employees qualify, after completion of six months' service, for a tax-free distribution, if profits are sufficient, in line with employee-owned trusts guidance.
* Job Type: Up to 40 hours per week, weekend working essential. Days to be agreed. Mainly 9 to 5.30 with very occasional evening work.
* Work Location: Please note rural location, we are based just off the main A487 between Fishguard and St.Davids SA62 5UX.
