Overview

We are a fast-growing digital marketing agency delivering data-led campaigns across search, social, video, and programmatic channels. We work with ambitious brands across a range of industries to help them scale through measurable paid media strategies.


Role

We are now looking for a Senior Paid Media Manager Team Lead to take ownership of our Paid Media team and service offering. This role goes beyond campaign management. You will be responsible for setting strategic direction, leading and developing the team, shaping our service offering, ensuring commercial performance, and building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.

Working closely with the agency’s senior leadership team, you will ensure our Paid Media department continues to grow profitably, delivers at the highest quality, and positions us as best-in-class in the market. You will balance team leadership with hands-on strategic client work, and play a key role in supporting new business pitches, product innovation, and agency growth.

This role will suit an experienced Paid Media leader who thrives on accountability, is commercially minded, and is confident in having direct conversations both with clients and their team when standards are not being met.


Key Responsibilities

* Leadership and Team Development: Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Paid Media Executives and Managers, ensuring high-quality output, accountability, and professional growth.
* Provide clear direction, setting team goals aligned with agency and client objectives.
* Hold team members accountable for delivery standards, providing constructive feedback and direct conversations when quality or performance is below expectations.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training to build a high-performing team.
* Foster a culture of proactivity, innovation, and accountability.


Strategy and Service Development

* Define the strategic direction for the Paid Media department, ensuring our service offering remains market-leading, profitable, and aligned to client needs.
* Lead the design and implementation of advanced campaign frameworks including audience strategy, creative testing, attribution, bidding models, and first-party data strategies.
* Collaborate with other channel leads across SEO, CRO, Analytics, Creative, and Development to deliver integrated strategies.
* Stay ahead of platform developments, industry trends, and competitor activity, translating insights into new opportunities for clients and the agency.


Client Leadership and New Business

* Act as the senior point of contact for key client accounts, providing strategic insight, board-level presentations, and growth recommendations.
* Demonstrate confidence, proactivity, and ownership in client relationships to instil trust and credibility in our senior team.
* Support the agency’s growth through pitch leadership, including audits, forecasts, and strategy proposals for new business.
* Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and webinars as a paid media expert.


Commercial and Operational Performance

* Ensure resource utilisation, profitability, and efficient workflow management across the Paid Media team.
* Implement and monitor processes, documentation, and best practices to deliver consistent quality at scale.
* Produce high-level performance reports and strategic recommendations for clients and senior stakeholders.
* Drive account growth through innovation, optimisation, and commercial awareness.


Required Skills and Experience

We would love to talk if you are confident in the following:

* 5+ years experience in paid media, including leadership responsibility in an agency environment.
* Proven track record managing high-budget, cross-channel campaigns across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Programmatic.
* Experience managing and developing a team, including recruitment, resourcing, and performance management.
* Advanced knowledge of attribution, measurement frameworks, GA4, conversion APIs, and first-party data strategies.
* Confidence in leading senior client conversations including board-level and C-suite, and providing commercial growth recommendations.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain profitability and resourcing efficiency across a team.
* Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to have direct and constructive conversations where performance standards are not met.
* Google and Meta certifications, including multiple Google specialisms and Blueprint certification.


Desirable

* Experience with retail media networks, Amazon Ads, TikTok Ads, or YouTube Ads.
* Exposure to Google Search Ads 360 and Display and Video 360.
* Previous involvement in agency pitches, new business forecasting, or commercial strategy.
* Experience working with large-scale B2B, SaaS, or eCommerce clients.
