Job Summary
East Dunbartonshire Council’s Development & Investment Service has a vacancy for the post of Project Manager – Major Asset Projects. The successful candidate will join the Major Asset Projects team to deliver a portfolio of capital investment projects across Education, Community, and Leisure sectors in East Dunbartonshire.
The Major Asset Projects team provides client-side project management services for East Dunbartonshire Council by working closely with internal stakeholders and leading multi-disciplinary consultancy teams to develop, design, and build new assets. Since its formation in 2014, the team has delivered over £180m of capital projects supporting East Dunbartonshire’s Local Outcome Improvement Plan.
The Council seeks to appoint a Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary project teams through the full project lifecycle, from inception and feasibility to design and construction.
This role requires a candidate with proven experience in similar roles, highly organized, with excellent communication skills. The candidate should have a track record of successful project management, strong leadership skills, a sound technical understanding of Prince 2 Project Management principles, and knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work 2020.
The successful candidate will project manage complex property projects across Education, Community, and Leisure sectors, supporting the delivery of East Dunbartonshire’s Local Outcome Improvement Plan and contributing to the Council’s Net Zero Carbon ambitions.
This position benefits from a hybrid working model, with time split between home, the office at the Council’s Broomhill Depot in Kirkintilloch, and on-site locations.

* Successful candidates for Regulated Roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed.
* The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary or in installments, subject to approval. If employment ends before deduction, the full amount will be deducted from the final salary.
