Description and requirements
Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a Head of IT Architecture join our Technology & Sustainability team in Leavesden (Watford).
As Head of IT Architecture, you will be a member of IT leadership team, responsible for leading the delivery of IT Architecture, Product Management of major foundational technology platforms in line with Business Goals and Digital Strategy. Deliver business value through enabling digital transformation through efficient adoption of Integrations and Automations.
What you’ll do:
1. Maintain a strong network across the whole organisation at all levels. You will maintain effective relationship management with senior stakeholders across our Business Operations.
2. Be accountable for IT architecture leading on design, architecture governance and architecture planning through maintenance of roadmaps across the capabilities of Enterprise and Solution Architecture.
3. Be accountable for how IT Architecture services are delivered including the assurance of the maintenance of the IT Architecture processes, ways of working, operating model including templates.
4. Play a critical role in fostering a culture of technological advancement in Skanska UK and Skanska Globally to enable digital transformation and enhance business performance.
5. Assure the right architecture governance is performed across all the Enterprise Services and produce regular metrics to demonstrate performance, quality and compliance.
6. Ensure alignment of all strategic development activities with the organisation's short and long-term goals including influencing and incorporating Global initiatives.
7. Be accountable for the running of an integration and automation service primarily delivered by external service providers.
8. Play a critical role in leading and performing tasks that include Business Relationship Management, cost management, strategic planning, managing change and small project delivery, resource management, workforce planning, talent & succession planning and any other leadership activities
What you’ll bring to the role:
9. Proven leader with track record in IT Governance.
10. Significant experience in IT Architecture, IT Strategy Development, IT Leadership
11. Strong leadership experience managing managers and multidisciplinary teams
12. Track record of delivering measurable business outcomes through Architectural best practices – Enterprise & Solution.
13. Recognised as a strong stakeholder manager. Skilled at communicating and influencing at executive level and Business Operations Leadership level
14. Knowledgeable of executing integration & automation best practices
15. Experience in organisational change and process redesign
16. Experience in leading evaluation and selection of strategically important emerging technology services.
17. Track record of business change management.
18. Ability to deputise for the Director of IT
