ASC Support Worker · Mainstream Primary School in the Bury area (M26) · Full-time roles available (8.30am-3.30pm) · Start date: Wednesday 3 rd September 2025 · End date: Ongoing (long-term role) This welcoming and inclusive primary school are looking for a reliable and energetic individual to work on full-time basis as a specialist support for pupils with ASC requiring additional support whether this be on a small group/1:1 basis. Is not essential that you have school experience to be successful! These opportunities may be good for individuals who have a keen interest in child development, disability, psychology or nursing and is or has been studying something related. As an ASC Support Worker, you will be required to: · Support pupils throughout the school day · Support pupils across the classroom · Incorporate the use of senses into learning · Help pupils to support their speech, language and communication · Consider the choices, needs and wishes of each pupils and encourage them to make the right choices for learning They require the staff member on long-term, full-time basis ( Monday- Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm ). Some pupils will have an EHC plan, so it is paramount that you adhere to the plan throughout your time spent with them, ensuring that all you do is centred around the wellbeing of the pupils. Your role may require you to deal with challenging situations and safeguarding issues, your training must always be up to date and know the latest policies and procedures to protect and nurture the pupils to the highest standard possible. The school will consider applications from individuals who have previous experience supporting people with SEND, or those who have previous care experience.
