Job Summary
We are recruiting clinicians who are ready to embark on a new and exciting role as trainee Systemic Family Practitioner (SFP) therapists within CAMHS. This is an excellent opportunity to receive excellent systemic training while putting new skills into practice within a clinical team with robust supervision.
The successful candidates will be working as SFP trainees within one of the CAMHS community teams for the duration of the one‑year course. The post will split time between training and carrying out clinical work. After successful completion the fixed‑term training contract will end, however applicants are encouraged to apply for any vacant posts within the service.
The course is delivered at the University of Exeter and is equivalent to year one (introduction) and year two (intermediate) in systemic practice, making trainees eligible to undertake years three and four in family and systemic therapy, after which they become qualified family and systemic psychotherapists.
To apply you must meet the criteria for SFP training and have a recognised professional background in mental health or related areas. If you do not have a Core Profession, you must complete a portfolio of evidence that shows equivalent training and experience.
