Hours: 6 – Sundays and support covering bank holidays

We’re seeking a motivated retail assistant to join our trading team, acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK and taking responsibility for the shop on Sundays.
You’ll be surrounded by people equally dedicated to beating cancer.
What will I be doing?
* Overseeing the shop’s operation on Sundays, including keyholder responsibilities (training provided) and supporting a diverse team of volunteers.
* Helping the shop team achieve sales and fundraising targets.
* Reviewing and processing donated goods and new stock.
* Generating creative ideas to increase income, with guidance from the Shop Manager.
* Providing excellent customer service to ensure supporters and customers feel valued.
* Maintaining shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety.
* Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.
What are you looking for?
* Knowledge of excellent customer service standards.
* Experience working in lively, vibrant environments.
* Adaptability to changing situations, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commercial awareness.
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, understanding the importance of work-life balance.
