We’re working with a growing, specialist engineering company delivering advanced technology solutions to customers across government, defence and law enforcement sectors globally.
As part of continued growth, they are looking to appoint a hands-on Project Manager to join a multidisciplinary team working across electronics, software and mechanical development.
The Role
This is not a typical “reporting-focused” project management role.
You’ll work closely with engineers on a day-to-day basis, helping to drive projects forward from early concept through to production. The focus is on delivery, coordination and problem-solving, ensuring projects stay on track and technical challenges are managed effectively.
You’ll act as the central point of coordination across engineering, suppliers and stakeholders—removing blockers, maintaining momentum, and ensuring successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage full lifecycle engineering projects (concept through to production)
* Work closely with electronics and software teams to understand technical requirements and dependencies
* Coordinate project timelines, budgets and deliverables
* Facilitate project meetings and sprint planning with a focus on outcomes
* Track progress and ensure alignment across internal teams, suppliers and customers
* Support the transition of products into production
* Produce clear project documentation and reporting for senior stakeholders
* Contribute to defining product requirements through customer interaction
What We’re Looking For
* Experience managing technical or engineering projects
* Strong understanding of product development lifecycles
* Ability to work closely with engineers and understand technical challenges
* Experience with structured project methodologies (e.g. stage-gate, Agile)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Desirable Experience
* Background in electronics, embedded systems, software or RF-related projects
* Experience with tools such as Jira, GitLab or similar
* Exposure to regulated environments or working with external customers
* Engineering degree or similar technical background
