Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, creative and inclusive lessons tailored to meet a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with the national curriculum, EHCP targets, and individual learning plans.
*
Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with diverse learning, communication and behavioural needs.
*
Create and maintain a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and progress.
*
Effectively manage classroom behaviour using consistent, supportive and trauma-informed approaches.
*
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals to support pupil development.
Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*
Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs in a UK school or specialist setting (ECT placements accepted).
*
Strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies.
*
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills, particularly within SEN environments.
*
A patient, empathetic and flexible approach with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
