The role
This position offers an excellent opportunity to join the Mid Wales Land Management Team as a Commercial Liaison Officer. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for planning and coordinating all site-based activities and operations within designated areas of commercial projects on the Welsh Government Woodland Estate.
These projects range from large-scale developments, such as the Cefn Croes Windfarm, to smaller initiatives across Mid Wales, including hydro-electric schemes, visitor centres, and third-party access agreements.
Acting as Natural Resources Wales' (NRW) direct liaison with commercial stakeholders, the role involves providing advice and guidance to all Land and Asset functions engaged in delivering planned works, projects, and permissions. Regular communication and agreement with commercial partners will be essential to ensure alignment and compliance.
A key responsibility will be interpreting lease agreements and principal method statements to assess proposed activities and ensure they meet contractual and safety requirements. The post holder will also lead the development, review, and adoption of risk assessments and method statements for both NRW and commercial partners.
