Carding Rewire Engineer
Location: Mirfield, UK
Shifts: Full-Time, Day Shift (with flexibility for shift cover)
Salary: £40,000
A leading manufacturer in Mirfield is seeking a skilled Carding Rewire Engineer to support the maintenance, rewiring, and continuous improvement of carding and production machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Rewire and mechanically maintain carding machines and other production equipment.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
* Communicate with machine operators and the wider maintenance team to resolve issues quickly.
* Support capital improvement and engineering projects.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including personal tools and shared workshop spaces.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Time-served engineer or City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
* Experience in carding wire fettling
* Strong background in machinery maintenance, fault finding, and repair (including hydraulics, pneumatics).
* Competency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
