Position Summary We are looking for a motivated Apprentice Trainee Field Engineer to join our dynamic service team. Reporting directly to the Field Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of multifunctional devices including printers and photocopiers. This role is field based, working on client premises, with training delivered both on the job and through structured in-house programmes. This apprenticeship is self-paced and designed to set you up for long-term success, covering official manufacturer training, IT systems support, workshop learning, and field experience. We’re looking for someone with real enthusiasm for technology, a positive “can-do” attitude, and a genuine passion for developing a career as a Photocopier / IT Systems Engineer. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair multifunctional devices Service and maintain customer equipment to high standards Recover and reuse quality parts from decommissioned devices Deliver outstanding customer service and communication Collaborate with fellow engineers to provide the best aftersales support Follow all company procedures and guidelines Work safely and comply with all Health & Safety regulations Skills and Experience Strong enthusiasm to build a career as a Photocopier / IT Engineer Good communication and problem-solving skills A genuine interest in IT and technology Previous experience in “break-fix” environments is an advantage but not essential Fluency in English Required Education and Other Qualifications Minimum of 5 Nat 4’s and above (including Maths and English) Further education an advantage Apprenticeship course will comprise of Classroom training E-Learning Workshop and field-based work
