Children’s Services Location: Salford Hours: Waking Nights & Day Shifts 8pm - 7.30am Salary: £12.60ph - £12.85ph Do you have a passion for working with children and a good understanding of mental health conditions?
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Salford, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with a variety of needs.
About the Role
You will be supporting children in a safe, nurturing environment, helping them to feel valued, understood, and empowered. This role involves working a mix of waking night and day shifts to ensure children receive the care and stability they need around the clock.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide emotional and practical support to children with mental health needs and other challenges
* Create a safe, supportive environment that promotes independence and emotional wellbeing
* Follow individual care plans and risk assessments
* Build positive, trusting relationships with children, colleagues, and other professionals
* Record and report accurately to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
* Understanding of mental health conditions and the impact on daily life
* Resilience, empathy, and strong communication skills
* Ability to work waking nights and day shifts as part of a rota
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
