Join to apply for the Senior Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Manager) role at Amey. This is a permanent position in the NMC NE Account team.
In this role, you will be the primary contact for all commercial matters within your area and provide expert advice and guidance to wider contract teams. You will ensure robust commercial management of subcontractors and supply chain partners, including the preparation, review and evaluation of subcontract enquiries, quotations and payments, final accounts and input to dispute resolution.
This role offers a unique opportunity to implement commercial best practices, maximizing value while minimizing risk and cost for Amey.
What You’ll Do
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, review their work, and support their professional development.
* Manage and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
* Monitor costs, compare actual costs against budgeted amounts, identify cost variances and provide recommendations for cost‑saving measures.
* Produce monthly cost variance reports (CVRs) and quarterly budgets and forecasts.
* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for task orders.

What You’ll Bring

* Relevant qualification suitable for the role.
* Driving licence, as you may work from other sites/depot.
