Role Summary
Our Client is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role plays a strategic part in supporting team success and providing exceptional service to clients. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager and the VP of Engineering, the successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of renewable energy solutions.
Responsibilities
* Perform process simulations and develop specialized modeling tools
* Implement process design, equipment sizing, and selection
* Lead engineering studies and generate design packages
* Collaborate with project managers to meet schedule commitments
* Provide technical support for engineering, commissioning, and operations
* Analyze problems to ensure equipment operation and compliance with regulations
* Conduct quality checks and verify documentation
Essential Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with 10+ years of related experience
* Proficiency in AspenTech programs such as Aspen Plus and HYSYS
* Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software for drafting
* Familiarity with Hazard Analysis methodologies and safety systems
* Strong background in EPC and systems engineering
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience in thermal integration of process technologies
* Knowledge of new and novel chemical processes
* Training in HAZOP, HAZID, Project Management
* Background in plant operation and process controls
